ARCHITECTS' SPECIFICATIONS FOR AMEREC MODULAR SAUNA ROOMS

PREPARATIONS: Modular rooms are designed to be installed in any level, open area. No existing walls are required. Floor material must be waterproof and cleanable (concrete, tile, sheet vinyl, etc.). If installation is in a carpeted area, the carpet should be covered or removed under the sauna room.

WALL & CEILING PANELS: 2X2 frame, insulated with R-11 fiberglass batts and a reflective foil layer; surfaced on the interior and exterior with ½"x3", clear, v-joint, kiln-dried (12% moisture content), grade A, Western Red Cedar. Smooth mahogany veneer on exterior is optional. Wall panels with insulated safety-glass are optional.

ELECTRICAL PANEL: Outlet box for light and junction box for heater are preinstalled, with conduit extending through the ceiling for convenient hookup.

INTERIOR & EXTERIOR TRIM: Cove molding, fascia, and door casings of clear, kiln-dried Western Red Cedar.

BENCHES & SUPPORTS: Pre-assembled benches of kiln-dried Western Red Cedar: 1x4 clear cedar tops and faces, 2x4 cedar frames, 2x4 and 2x6 cedar supports. Stainless steel screws. No exposed or visible fasteners.

HEATER GUARD RAIL: Required on all sides not adjacent to a wall. Precut cedar.

DOOR ASSEMBLY: Standard prehung model G2PL-M (G2PR-M for right-hand swing) of solid VG fir. Complete with dual-pane, insulated, tempered safety-glass window; cedar door pulls, one brass butt hinge; and two brass self-closing hinges. Optional all-glass door available.

DUCKBOARD FLOORING: Walking area only. Constructed of clear, 1x4 Western Red Cedar. Interlocking plastic mat flooring may be substituted. Flooring of either type for entire floor area is optional.

ACCESSORIES: Brushed aluminum & glass wall light with switch, thermometer, bucket, dipper, and backrests. Other options are available.

HEATER: UNDERWRITERS LABORATORIES APPROVED. Stainless steel body and heating elements. Approved Olivine sauna rocks included. Style and KW size must be appropriate for cubic volume of room. Available in 280v or 240v, 1-phase or 3-phase. Electrical contractor required for heaters over 10kw.

CONTROLS: UNDERWRITERS LABORATORIES APPROVED. May be mounted on heater or on exterior of room, depending upon application.

WARRANTY: 5-year limited warranty for residential use, 1-year for commercial use.

PLEASE NOTE: Rooms may be customized, or designed for ADA-compliant handicapped accessibility, with doors up to 36" wide, benches of various depths, benches with 2x4 tops, and benches which retract. Free custom design is provided.
